So yesterday made an unplanned but delightful visit to the London Miles Gallery (more on this later) and in their Studio block today, they will be hosting the U.K premiere screenings of the award winning contemporary art documentary, New Brow!
The movie is all about the steady rise of Underground Art and features pretty much all of the movements figureheads talking openly about the growth and different directions of the movement and how its come to where it is today - such as Shepard Fairey, Ron English, Silvia Ji, Gary Baseman and Shag, and there will be more.
The documentary not only features firsthand accounts from an impressive list of pioneering artists, but also showcases the important galleries and collectors who adopted, and continue to drive, the new American contemporary art movement today.
The feature film is presented by Humble Pictures in association with The Shooting Gallery from San Francisco, California and will be hosted by our new friends at the London Miles Gallery. From my knowlegdge there are still tickets left at the gallery. Screenings are TODAY (27th February) at 2pm and 5:30pm and you can reserve or buy your tickets from here.
